General safety tips
1. Be careful
There should be no sharing of personal details such as bank account number or copy of your ID.
2. Meet sellers in person
Check the quality of the services and products, and make sure it meets your expectations before making payment
3. Prepayments are strictly prohibited on POD/POA Listings
Buyers – no prepayment should be made for either the delivery or products or services. You can discuss the delivery cost, but payment should be made only AFTER the product or service is delivered successfully.
Sellers – don’t ask for any prepayments before delivery!
Alternatively, use milestone billing arrangements – a payment cycle that uses agreed-upon events or deliverables as billing deadlines. For example, instead of paying for a complete order, a freelance writer may set up a milestone billing agreement where the employer pays for each piece of content as it’s written.
4. Use common sense
Avoid anything that appears too good to be true, such as unrealistically low prices and promises of quick money.
5. Never give out your financial information
Including bank account details, PayPal info, and any other information that could be misused
Scams and frauds to watch out for
1. Fake payment services
POD/POA Listings does not offer any payment scheme in purchases. Please, report users claiming to offer such services.
2. Fake fee requests
Avoid anyone who asks for extra fees to buy or sell an product or service. POD/POA Listings never requests payments for its basic services.
